Why would I put all these conditions together?
Everyone knows these are vastly different conditions, am I right? The reality is that the only difference in these
conditions is which tissue is being destroyed by your own immune system. It is not the fault of the tissue; it is the
fault of a dysregulated immune system. Therefore, if someone discovered how to measure, test, and treat the
immune system, that person would have a significant probability of helping all of these conditions…am I right?
How can I be so bold as to suggest that we have an effective treatment?
Just for a moment, imagine that everything does have a reason, including autoimmune diseases. If something has a
reason or cause, once that cause is discovered, a solution appears. In the case of autoimmune disease, the
discovery of the cause was found in the rarely used lab examinations called the T and B Lymphocyte and Natural
Killer Cell Panel and the Cytokine Panels. These are the tests we now use to treat all autoimmune diseases.
There is no such thing as a protocol for treating autoimmune diseases, because each individual with an autoimmune
disease will have unique findings once tested. Each individual must be tested, and their individual findings must be
corrected. Only then can you put this struggle behind you.
Why haven’t I heard of these tests or the treatment for autoimmune diseases?
Mainstream Medicine doesn’t have an effective treatment to balance the immune system…so they rarely run these
tests. Imagine if you looked at the gauges in your car and had no idea what they meant or what to do about it if they
were signaling trouble. You would probably just turn the car off…and that is your medical alternative. They provide
immune suppressive drugs to turn the immune system off. No sense in even checking the gauges (the lab tests) if
you are just going to turn it off.
Functional Medicine, which is what I practice, has expanded its scope of practice to include natural medicine, and
has discovered certain botanical (plant based) substances that effectively shift these immune markers. They are
different for each shift, so if you take something that shifts you into your imbalance, makes you more imbalanced, it
actually accelerates the disease. But, once tested, we know which ones to use and can effectively turn this disease
off, or at least down to near nothing.
